Friends of Man

Friends of Man helps people of all ages with a large variety of needs. The kind of help given by Friends of Man depends on the need. Their flexibility in this respect is unique and allows them to be able to help where other resources cannot. This organization awards grants to applicants to help them obtain many different types of AT equipment. Friends of Man does not accept applications directly from applicants, but accepts applications from agency personnel on behalf of the applicant. You may find the application with the rules for applying at Friends of Man.org

Kansas Equipment Exchange(KEE)

The KEE Program is designed to help Kansans obtain affordable medical equipment. In cooperation with Medicaid and other agencies, wheelchairs, hospital beds, and other durable medical equipment(DME) that is no longer being used is returned to the program, refurbished, and made available for other Kansans to use. KEE also accepts donated equipment from individuals.

Refurbished items are offered to Kansans with disabilities that are on Medicaid and those eligible for Medicaid. Other Kansans may be eligible for equipment depending on availability. To apply for equipment, call the Assistive Technology for Kansans Project at 800-KAN DO IT (800-526-3648).

KEE's success is based on the donation of equipment and help from volunteers. If you or a group you belong to would like to donate equipment or help clean and deliver equipment, please call our toll free number at 866-666-1470
