US Bank Debit Card

As you may know, beginning January 2013 Social Security is requiring recipients of SSI, SSDI and other benefits to have either a bank account or debit card for direct deposit. The US Bank Debit Card is a great way to get started and acquainted with the workings of debit cards. Not only can you have your social security benefits directly deposited you can also, pay bills online, transfer money from card to card and budget income and expenses. While there are some fees like getting cash out at an unauthorized ATM, or not enrolling in online banking for your monthly statements, the card has next to zero monthly fees. Unlike traditional bank accounts the US Bank Debit Card requires no minimum balance and safeguards in place to prevent overdrafts. This card is FDIC insured and may restrict some garnishments efforts. If you are interested in learning more about the US Bank Debit Card call a KATCO representative today at 1-866-465-2826

Mango Debit Card

The Mango Debit card is another new program offered through KATCO. The Mango Card has many of the same features that the US Bank Debit Card does. The Mango card has no set up fees and next to zero monthly fees when you use online banking, and with a $500 monthly deposit into the card certain other fees will be waived. The Mango Card can also be used as a direct deposit for social security benefits.  One very positive and attractive feature of the card is a savings account with an interest rate of 6% APY when a minimum deposit of $50.00 a month occurs.  This Debit card is FDIC insured, does not allow unauthorized garnishments and safeguards to prevent overdrafts.
